I believe that South Africa is the most beautiful place on earth. Admittedly, I am biased but when you combine the natural beauty of sunny South Africa with the friendliness and cultural diversity of our people, and the fact that the region is a haven for Africa’s most splendid wildlife, then I think that we have been blessed with a truly wonderful land. – Nelson Mandela
With so much to offer in every one of her provinces, it is no wonder that South Africa is an attractive destination for both international and domestic travelers. From the bountiful Cape Winelands at the tip of Africa to the rugged Wild Coast and with a rich if not turbulent history, South Africa has something for everyone. Where unrivaled beauty meets immense ecological and cultural diversity, South Africa is a story waiting to be told to those who bend an ear to listen. It’s tempting to scribble a list of South Africa’s top tourist attractions, activities and cities in the hope that you might start somewhere at the top and work your way through it, but you would only end up maybe halfway down by the time you have to head back home – South Africa is a large country !.
These attractions are part and parcel of the South African experience: Cape Town, Robben Island, Table Mountain, Kruger National Park, the Drakensberg, Garden Route, Wild Coast, Karoo and iSimangaliso Wetland Park are all good enough reasons on their own to visit this truly dynamic country.
